Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to paid briefings, reading sessions, workshops, and custom research briefs offered by Signal FieldBase. Free article and glossary access is not billed and not subject to refunds.

1. Deposits and confirmation

Live sessions require a 30% deposit to confirm the calendar slot; custom research briefs require 50% upfront unless otherwise stated on your invoice. The remaining balance for live sessions is due before the session date. Custom brief balances are due on delivery of the final document.

2. Cancellation by client — live sessions

• More than 10 business days before the session: full deposit refund minus any non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred on your behalf.
• 5–10 business days before: deposit may be applied to a rescheduled date within 90 days, or refunded at 50% of the deposit amount.
• Fewer than 5 business days before: deposit is non-refundable. You may reschedule once within 60 days subject to availability.

3. Rescheduling

One free reschedule is permitted when requested at least five business days in advance. Additional reschedules incur KRW 120,000 administrative fee. Rush rescheduling inside five business days is treated as cancellation per section 2.

4. No-shows

If no attendee joins within 15 minutes of the scheduled start and no prior notice was given, the session is considered delivered and fees are non-refundable. We will provide written summary materials only if full payment was received.

5. Cancellation by Signal FieldBase

If we cancel due to facilitator illness or force majeure, you may choose a full refund of amounts paid for the cancelled session or priority rescheduling at no extra charge.

6. Custom research briefs

• Before work begins: upfront payment refunded minus KRW 200,000 scoping fee if materials were not yet drafted.
• After draft delivery: no refund once the draft is sent; one revision round is included as stated in your quote.
• Client delay: if you withhold required inputs for more than 30 days, we may invoice for work completed to date; deposits are applied to that invoice and are non-refundable thereafter.

7. Partial refunds

If we deliver a session materially shorter than contracted scope due to our error, you may request a partial refund proportional to the lost time or a complimentary follow-up segment. Partial refunds are not available when sessions end early due to client-side technical failures.

8. Non-refundable items

• Rush scheduling surcharges (20%) once the date is confirmed
• On-site travel and lodging expenses already booked
• Completed custom briefs and delivered written summaries
• Additional briefing hours already delivered

9. Refund process and timing

Email hello@signalfieldbase.click with your invoice number and reason. Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method. Bank transfers may take additional clearing time depending on your institution.

10. Work already started

For engagements combining live sessions and custom research, fees attributable to completed deliverables are non-refundable even if later sessions are cancelled.

11. Disputes

We aim to resolve billing concerns directly. Unresolved disputes are handled under the governing law provisions in our Terms of Service.
